Engage Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a well-established manufacturing client based in Nantgarw. Our client is at the forefront of what they do. We are looking for a Process Technician to join the team on a permanent basis, working nights.

The role

• Follow SOPs and production records with strict adherence to safety
• Trouble shooting and solving manufacturing process problems
• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance on plant equipment to minimise unplanned downtime
• Working with your team on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Be conversant with and adopt the procedures stated in the Quality, Environmental Management System (QEMS) Manual and its supporting documents

The ideal candidate

• Experience in operating manufacturing equipment
• Following Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintenance of production equipment
• Basic engineering/scientific/chemical process skills
• Working in a food manufacturing environment or working in controlled areas e.g. GMP, Clean room

Desired but not essential

• Education within Science subject
• Safe operation of a range of plant/machinery/set and adjust controls
• Understanding engineering principles
• Aseptic handling of micro-organisms
• Enzyme extraction and purification process
• Food Safety and HACCP

Working hours and salary

6pm – 6am (4 nights on, 4 nights off)

£24000 - £27,00 + 30% shift allowance per annum

23 days holiday per year (up to 29 days based on length of service)

Private healthcare

Pension contributions between 3.5% - 5% (6% after 10 years)
