The ability to perform operations safely is key as this role is based within a safety critical, controlled environment. You will report directly to the Production Leader for the facilities covered but day to day shift direction and tasking will come from the Shift Leader/DAP on shift.

What you will be doing:
You will follow health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations, reporting all events in line with procedure.
  • Take accountability for delivering results and outputs against a well defined set of manufacturing tasks and delivering them to the plan.
  • Complete tasks accurately and to specific timings – all work must be completed to the correct quality standard.
  • You will work under the appropriate level of supervision and understand how your day- to - day responsibilities can directly influence customer satisfaction and delivery performance.
  • Has a clear understanding of work and processes within own team, and how they connect with other associated teams as well as providing team members and supervisors with regular progress updates and contributing to problem solving.
  • You will work as part of a team to contribute to our business objective of delivering systems, products and components on time and to a high specification for the customer, whilst operating in accordance with safety requirements and within established procedures.

  • Knowledge of practical methods, techniques and work processes, gained through formal, technical classroom training and on-the-job experience.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of operational processes and procedures to apply them effectively within assigned tasks.
  • Tasks are assigned and operated within clear procedures and escalation routes, demonstrates the technical competencies required at this level.
  • Previous broaching/machining experience is preferable but not required.
  • Communicates clearly and openly when interacting with other members of their team and other teams.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
