Baxter, Thetford is currently searching for a motivated manufacturing candidate to join Line 7, an automated line. Whilst training you will receive a salary of £24,187,33 and on successful completion of training your salary will increase to £25,488.47. You will also receive a weekly shift allowance of £ 109.86. This role is Monday-Sunday rotating shifts of 06:00-18:00/18:00-6:00.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements. This includes raise EHS observation cards
- Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety quality and performance guidelines, ensuring batch paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify quality defects and reject them. Escalate issues to the team leader – may be involved in rectifying issues with support
- Maintains the optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters.
- Train others as required / identified by team leader
- Plans and executes all the relevant asset maintenance tasks and ensures machine is available and performance targets are met. This role troubleshoots simple issues when line is not meeting target output.
- Performs daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area
- Be actively involved in improvement programs, demonstrating a willingness to adopt new ways of working
- Must be able to perform the visual acuity and colour perception tests were required.
- Must be able to fulfill physical requirements needed to carry out job related task meeting both speed and quality requirements
Experience required
- Manufacturing background (pharmaceutical or food manufacturing desired)
- Batch processing experience is preferred
- Experience in setting up process equipment independently would be desired
- Team player
- Strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
- Results orientated
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach
