Etex are seeking a Process Operator to join the Building Performance Team, based in Ferrybridge!

Permanent

12 Hour Continental Shift Pattern (4 On 4 Off) Inclusive of weekends and Bank Holidays. With an 13 day break after 5.75 sets

Salary : £32,576 (Including shift allowance)

Please note: From time to time the process Operator may be required to work flexibly and attend work outside of rostered shifts for genuine business needs.

What you’ll do:

The role holder will need to be able to work 12 hour shifts across a continuous process manufacturing environment that involves working day and night shifts. This is a largely manual role that will require some technical competence to operate machinery and perform some basic maintenance as well as computer skills to update production figures and follow processes.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

To be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant through routine duties.
Operating equipment to minimise reject and maximise plant performance
Carry out tasks requested by the Shift Manager, Assistant Shift Team Manager (ASTM) and or, any member of the Etex BP Management Team
Root cause analysis of manufacturing issues using the tools provided
Continuous Improvement
To support the Company’s AM (autonomous Maintenance) vision through CILT (Clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten) through day-to-day activities and supporting in planned and unplanned shutdowns with engineers.
Working with the team (Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Engineering) to ensure all products are produced to the defined specifications
regular housekeeping activities, including listening and performing visual checks so that any abnormal issues are detected and addressed
Identifying irregularities in machine operation and using the appropriate tools to highlight them to the maintenance team
conducting forklift check
To work towards the plant achieving the plant KPI’s

What you’ll bring:

Maths and English, GCSE or equivalent
Good understanding of computer systems such as SAP, Workbench, Learning Hub
Experience of shift work including working nights and 12-hour shifts
Have a positive outlook, with can-do attitude
Be approachable and be able to work both comfortably in a team or self-motivated to work alone
Safety awareness and mindset/champion
Experience of shift work including working nights and 12-hour shifts
demonstrable relevant manufacturing experience

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:

FLT Counterbalance license
NVQ level 2 Manufacturing Operations
