Purpose of the Role:

• An exciting opportunity has presented itself to become a chemical process technician within the special Process department at the clients Control Systems production facility.

As a Chemical Process Technician you will be responsible for:

• The production of high specification aerospace components using electro plating methods such as nickel & lead indium plating
• The setting up, preparation and process of product through anodising lines
• The Chemical Process Technician may need to use shot blast equipment to prepare parts for further processes
• Ensuring product conformance through the careful inspection process to meet required specification and level of quality
• Completing documentation to maintain traceability of products, Inputting and recording of data when processing components
• Engaging with other team members to problem solve to ensure production deadlines are achieved
• An understanding and adherence of Health and Safety regulations whilst identifying any hazards & offering improvements
• Ensuing the correct chemistry of process tanks is maintained by making additions and carrying out planned maintenance duties to the process lines

What we require from the candidate:

Essential

• Experience in a chemical processing manufacturing or engineering environment.
• An experience working with and an understanding of chemicals
• Previous experience in working in fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment
• Interpreting & understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Flexibility to work additional hours is beneficial. Overtime rates would apply.

Desirable

• Experience of working in aerospace industry and NADCAP

Qualifications Required:

• Recognised time-served apprenticeship AND a NVQ level 3 qualification OR equivalent (e.g. City and Guild 1,2,3)
• IT Skills (MES/Microsoft applications/etc).
