Location: NESI - Grimsby

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Responsible for:

You will be responsible for leading the operations team to achieve the profit and performance targets set by the company.

You will deliver SPQDC and CI both cross functionally and through the operations team to deliver the overall site performance, business goals and objectives.

You will be responsible for the development of our people, process, and systems.

Purpose

To manage and direct the operations team to deliver the annual planned volumes.

Operational performance to be delivered across all SPQDC KPI’s, site P&L delivered in line with all labor, materials and usage budgets whilst achieving customer quality targets and expectations.

To contribute to the senior management team to meet all business objectives, goals and implement site initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

To implement and deliver the factory operations health and safety requirements and policy’s, ensuring compliance through the ops teams. Work with the Health and Safety Manager on all site initiatives to achieve the annual AFR target, all near misses, safety opportunities and accidents are route caused investigated and are closed out on time.

Liaise with HR department to deliver people, systems and processes through the ops management teams ensuring compliance is met and reviewed.

Liaise with learning and development department ensuring the training and development requirements of all factory employees at all levels is met. Schedule 1-2-1 and PDP in place for all the junior management teams and reviewed quarterly and annually.

Deliver the factory operational succession plan in conjunction with the L&D department to meet current and future volumes in line with business growth.

Liaise with the technical department to deliver all technical system and procedures through the ops management team, attain compliance against customer policy and codes of practice, covering all customer audits ensuring compliance to standards and G.M.P is always maintained. Deliver all EPD and NPD projects through the ops teams.

To deliver the factory operations weekly production schedule through both cross functional and ops management team in line with budget and supply all customer orders OTIF.

To deliver the weekly operations plan ensuring that planned K.P.I, OEE efficiency is met or exceeded through coaching and mentoring the operations management team and then measuring their results.

Ensure that the production plan is completed on a daily basis in line with orders and ensuring that there is limited over/underproduction of stock.

Liaise and deliver the annual CI improvement projects ensuring that the ops management team are all aligned to the outputs required with reviews completed to measure success of delivery.

To deliver governance of the tier reviews from T1 to T3 ensure both cross functional and ops team participation at all levels of the tier structure.

Tier agenda delivery with the onus on junior management to own and take full accountability for both the KPI metric review and action points raised and assigned.

To deliver the operations weekly P&L, and usage reviews, account for variances across labour, materials and consumables verse standard.

To ensure that all stock transitions and end of shift stock counts are accurate and completed and reported on time.

To deliver the planned factory labour and overtime in line with set budgets.

To work with the senior team to deliver on business objectives, both long and short term.

To actively promote and protect the core values of the business, to encourage a culture of commitment and excellence lead through example from the production management team.

To deputise for your counterpart ops manager in their absence.

Key Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience:

· High levels of personal integrity

· Excellent problem-solving/CI skills

· Previous experience in chilled FMCG operations

· Understanding of production and engineering techniques

· Able to guide build teams which perform to a high level

· Experience in supply to multiple Retail customers

· Aptitude to analyse, measure, and deliver KPIs

· Good knowledge of food safety and experience in managing a QMS
