Manufacturing / Process Engineer

Roles and responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing manufacturing procedures, tooling and fixtures that result in sufficient capacity to meet customer demand while also promoting product quality, process efficiency and operator safety.
- Providing production line support including, but not limited to, implementing new process improvements, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries.
- Generating and modifying manufacturing process documentation and assuring that manufacturing processes and related documentation follow established policies and procedures.
- Utilizing data, reports, skills/experience and other best practice tools and principles for day-to-day problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Assisting in identifying equipment needs on the production floor and evaluating internal and external options for sourcing such equipment.
- Developing and releasing new products using customers or internal specifications.
- Works with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing departments during the concept, prototyping and release of new products.
- Works with external vendors as needed.
- Manages data related to production processes, including leading cross-functional teams tasked with owning, updating, and maintaining data.
- Serving as a liaison between production teams, IT, analysis groups and senior leadership to inform decision-making and drive improvements for the company.
- Other related assignments as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline.
- Considerable experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to analyze and drive business and operations decisions using data across multiple systems and/or process streams
- Proven experience leading improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment
- Candidate must possess strong project management skills and initiative in owning and leading projects to completion.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- CAD experience/knowledge preferred
- Manufacturing and process certifications (Lean / Six Sigma) or similar evidence of structured experience preferred
