TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility north of Newcastle upon Tyne is the home of two TT Electronics divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom power solutions for safety-critical applications in harsh environments. The team in Bedlington specialises in microcircuit production for the aerospace and defence industries.

Introduction
You will develop new processes for new products, improve existing process to maximise production efficiency and support the manufacture of volume product lines.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader this is a broad and varied role. You will be trained to support all processes involved in the manufacture of products for the power solutions division but will have a primary focus on wire bonding.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment
- Participate in the introduction of new parts including equipment, tool and procedures
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities
- Contribute to technical and gate reviews
- Assist or lead internal audits, where required
- Responding to line stops, taking the required actions to restart production in a timely manner.
- Update and maintain manufacturing documentation, including operator instructions, inspection standards, etc
- Define new or replacement equipment requirements.
- Commissioning and validation of new equipment.
Core Requirements
Degree/HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Desireable Skills and Experience
Experience manufacturing hybrid circuits and multi-chip modules (chip and wire assembly)
Familiarity with wire bond – experience with Palomar, Hesse, Bondtec
Lean principles and concepts as well as experience/knowledge of how to apply.
CAD experience/knowledge.
