Job description
DIRECT HIRE placement for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a large full-service steel fabricating operation providing oxy fuel, plasma, laser and band saw cutting services in Louisville, KY.
Responsibilities:
- Kaizen Program: Support the Kaizen program through the implementation off Kaizen Proposals submitted by associates. Reviewing ideas submitted, developing a working concept of the original idea via communication with the originator.
-5S activities: Provides the momentum for and supports 5S implementation. Teaching and coaching employees. Sets the bar, 5S standards across the company. Provides checks and balances, 5S audit activity.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to fabrication, robotics, CAM programming, CNC, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate learning sessions and workshops for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge in quantum engineering, mechanical engineering, tooling, and GD&T.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and update training materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
- Provide coaching and support to employees to ensure successful implementation of learned skills.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experience in fabrication, robotics, CAM programming, CNC, continuous improvement, quantum engineering, mechanical knowledge, tooling, and GD&T.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
