Eaton’s ES CRDS COMM Commercial division is currently seeking a Process Improvement Engineer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $91300.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
Primary Responsibility:
Eaton Corporation in Sumter, SC is currently seeking a Process Improvement (Lean) Engineer to join our team.
The primary function of this role is to support continuous improvement initiatives for the Sumter operation. This position will drive the execution of the Lean tools and assist in the development of manufacturing methods and processes.
- Own and improve the 5S+ audit process.
- Own and improve Sumter’s continuous improvement submission program (SPIN).
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects or kaizen events utilizing lean tools to drive results
- Seek opportunities for utilizing/developing digital tools for reporting, simplifying processes, and driving efficiency
- Generate and implement cost savings ideas and opportunities
- Serve as site support for SharePoint, Power BI, and Excel VBA tools
- Perform digital tool and lean tool trainings as needed
- Promote strong employee engagement and lean cultural change
- Provide support to Eaton Lean Systems, Eaton Quality Systems, MESH and Pro Launch to achieve and maintain required levels of certification and performance
- Additional related duties as required

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited institution- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation Assistance will be provided. Candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Sumter, SC will not be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent engineering experience from co-op/internships- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering
- Lean or Six-Sigma training or certifications
- Understanding and use of lean tools
- Industry 4.0 digitalization experience
Skills:
Position Criteria:
Experienced in LEAN- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel VBA, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, etc.)
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements
