About This Role
The logistics engineer who will lead inventory control, analysis, and classification according to material management procedures to ensure effective logistics deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement warehouse layout and processes to optimize efficiency and throughout.
Develop and implement material delivery plans and processes to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. production, logistics, quality assurance) to ensure seamless integration of warehouse and material delivery systems with production operations.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse, material delivery, and inventory control processes.
Implement inventory control systems to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize waste.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse, material delivery, and inventory control performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse and material handling operations.
Develop and manage budgets and timelines for warehouse, material delivery, and inventory control projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 7 + years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on warehouse setup, material delivery, and inventory control.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of warehouse layout design, material handling equipment, and material delivery systems.
Experience with warehouse management software (e.g. SAP, WMS) and material planning systems (e.g. MRP).
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
