Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team
NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At NIKE, Inc. it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.
The NIKE, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide — making the impossible happen every single day.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
At Nike our supply chain and our logistics athletes are our competitive advantage in how we continuously elevate the Nike experience for our consumers.
As we implement our Digital First Supply Chain Strategy within Operations, we seek top talent to join the Process Design team for Nike’s first UK omnichannel Distribution Centre (DC) planned to launch in 2025.
As a Process Design Analyst (Transportation Network Operations/Distribution/E2E) you will be a key member of the new UK DC build Project Team, with responsibility for the design and successful implementation of the goods flow pathways throughout the DC. The ambition is clear: build an innovative omni-channel DC encompassing the best innovation, automation, and design.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As part of the MHE Process Design team, you’ll bring insight and enthusiasm to the design, development, and implementation of optimum solutions for how we ensure a smooth flow of product from first mile into the DC, up until the end customer.
The Process Design team consists of 3 key pillars: Transportation Network Operations (TNO), Distribution/Planning processes within the DC (Distribution/Planning) and E2E Supply Chain (E2E). As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll join us with a focus on process design within 1 of these 3 areas. Within this, you’ll contribute to process and layout design, equipment selection, as well as building a transition plan to embed standard methodologies through to the end users. You’ll help to manage the integration across subprojects and central partners to build complementary processes, whilst using Nike’s unique culture of innovation, disruption, and dynamism to break new boundaries.
Based on your knowledge of the current and future market, you’ll develop innovative solutions that are seamlessly coordinated with operational processes and market expectations. You’ll lead and/or participate in workshops (conceptual and functional design, implementation, debut, post go-live support), where both good integration between the different projects, and the required quality is meticulously guaranteed.
With your teammates you’ll co-ordinate the design process for specific flows through a new 1 million square foot site, that will serve our digital consumers alongside our retail stores and wholesale partners. This will involve a deep understanding of supply chain operations to bring together the right players as you help build the future of warehouse design.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
Reporting into the MHE & Process Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with multiple functions such as Transportation, Tech, Sustainability, and Workplace Design. You’ll work together to develop an outstanding operational environment that is highly attractive to a large, future workforce.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Relevant University degree or the equivalent through experience
- Experience in an operational and/or planning environment/transportation network environment - E2E thinking is a plus
- The ability to think conceptually and translate this into realistic solutions
- An energy to contribute within a rapidly changing environment
- A good balance between conceptual and functional thinking, combined with a pragmatic mind
- Sufficient experience in working out processes, preferably in challenging projects in a logistic environment
- A structured method of working and a result-oriented approach
The role will be based in the UK, with travel required to our main European Logistics Campus in Belgium. The role will require 3 days a week presence on site in the Midlands once construction commences in Summer 2023. Until such time flexible working is fine as the preparatory work takes place.
