Our innovative Professional Scientific Services (PSS) programme engages full-time scientists, technicians and technical support personnel managed by Eurofins PSS Insourcing directly at the client facility, to provide long term service needs while maintaining the same services, expertise and cGMP compliance. This is a full time permanent position, working a 37 hour week, flexibly between 07:00 - 19:00 Monday - Friday.
The purpose of this job within CRD Process Chemistry is to work on process development chemistry and route optimization while conducting analysis and characterization of practical work.
Job Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for practical synthetic organic chemistry utilizing knowledge, experience and literature to support new route and reaction design.
- To safely and efficiently design and develop reactions, work-ups, isolations and purifications.
- To conduct analysis and characterization of practical work using a range of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, NMR, TLC, GC)
- To troubleshoot and solve reaction problems on a day to day basis.
- A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
- A sound, fundamental knowledge and practical application of Organic Chemistry to pharmaceutical drug design is essential.
- Understanding and some exposure to Scale Up Facilities would be advantageous
