The Internship programme is 8 weeks long and starts on 24th June 2024. It is designed for students currently studying and undertaking a relevant University degree, returning to university in September 2024. Candidates must be available for the duration of the 8 week programme.

The Private Banking Team Assistant will primarily focus on providing day-to-day administration and support to a team of Private Banking Executives (PBE), Private Bankers (PB) and their portfolio of clients. They will support Private Bankers with client acquisition and retention via client contact, but will primarily provide support in the preparation/submission of credit reviews, Know Your Client reviews, account opening and daily transaction reports.
Key responsibilities
Client service and Sales support
- Manage account maintenance procedures – including account opening and account closing
- Collation and submission of Credit Applications on behalf of PBE’s and PB’s
- Monitor the return of Facility letters, and completion of LMF/interest rate/fee forms
- Monitor, prepare and/or carry out annual credit reviews
- Complete shadow postings daily
- Monitor, prepare and/or complete annual client reviews – maintaining client files in the process
General Administration
- Preparing client communications
- Preparing account opening forms
- Responsible for keeping client records updated
- Instigating and maintaining client files
Private Banker’s organization
- Organising, maintaining and coordinating diaries for the PB’s (including future planning of meetings, meeting preparation, planning for issues)
- Organize travel schedules
- Assist Bankers in the completion of money laundering / Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and submission to compliance

Knowledge / Experience
- Customer service experience preferred but not essential
- Strong interest in financial markets and HNW segment and market
- A curiosity to understand wealth management and banking products
- Multi-tasking capability
- Ability to work under pressure
Qualifications / Skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential for this role
