As a Barclays Private Banker, you will identify potential new clients and work with them to build relationships with the goal of managing their wealth. The target population for this role is Ultra High Net Worth clients and Family Offices. You will have an established and proven network of contacts and will actively leverage that to develop the Private Bank’s UHNW penetration into this market.
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. • Assisting in achieving team targets for: new client acquisition, net new asset acquisition, net new credit acquisition, net new investment acquisition, revenues
- Providing clients with world class financial solutions and maintaining the highest levels of client service and delivery
- Acting as key contact for banking products, credit advice and client queries
- Delivering high quality bespoke advice, maximising value for our clients and negotiating the best commercial outcome
- Acting as the key interface between the client and other parts of the Barclays group, including Wealth Advisory, Discretionary Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory etc
- Discussing markets, their issues and opportunities with clients
- Fully utilising the banker toolset, systems and platforms, and challenge current standards to continuously improve quality
- Engaging with digital technologies, products and solutions that are relevant to the Private Bank business, and using them to enhance the service provided to clients
• Excellent relationship skills with experience of managing and handling the needs of individuals and families
- Effective in gaining an in-depth understanding of clients’ needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth management solutions
- Experience in controlling and monitoring of risk within a client book
- Experience of the Financial Services industry, ideally with some experience in the areas of Retail regulated products to mass market and HNW customers and asset management
• High aptitude and understanding of the digital landscape, with the ability to effectively manage Clients’ changing needs in this area
- Academic and professional qualifications
- RDR (Retail Distribution Review) level four qualified
- Previous experience of working with Family Office or similarly complex/sophisticated Private Clients

1 Churchill Place in the heart of Canary Wharf is our London headquarter. The building is easily accessible by Tube, Docklands Light Railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with an array of onsite amenities and a real buzz being created around the offices within.
