Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a member of our production and sales team, a Reprographics Assistant must be a flexible and engaged worker, balancing the demands of a busy sales counter with producing printed material for orders placed via email.
Operating a wide range of printing machinery and finishing equipment will require a logical, problem-solving outlook in order to turn instructions and raw files into a professionally finished product.
Communication is a key component of the success of the Edinburgh Copyshop – which means answering phones, replying to emails and serving customers face-to-face will all play a part in day to day work in addition to production.
Working efficiently and methodically both solo and as part of a fantastic and friendly team is an essential requirement in a busy environment where every day is both different and a learning experience.
WHO WE ARE
The Edinburgh Copyshop is a digital-print copy shop working with tight turnarounds to remain competitive in a market evolving towards online sales. We differentiate ourselves from internet based businesses through quick turnarounds, friendly service, and a knowledgeable and approachable team who work with every customer to ensure the process is made easy, jargon-free and enjoyable. Our customer base includes students, local business owners, restaurateurs, architects and artists, but with no minimum order volume we’re happy to help print even a single sheet.
EXPECTATIONS
Working Hours: 38-40 hours per week working 5 days out of 6 (Monday – Saturday) Note: Saturdays will be scheduled for this position though holiday cover will be available. Overtime is very frequently available. Flexible working hours may be available for the right candidate.
