PRINT PRODUCTION SPECIALIST
DESCRIPTION
When fully trained in proprietary systems, software and small print-shop machine operation, this full-time role will include the following tasks:
- Print job specification, pricing, job system entry
- Logistics planning, inc. liaison with suppliers
- Digital Printing using Variable data
- Mail data preparation for Royal Mail; Envelope and Xerox printers
- Print Finishing assistance– inc. use of guillotine and folder, pack & despatch
- Mail Envelope insertion and machine operation & maintenance
- POS production and machine maintenance
- Proofing for and planning with the artwork team
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Precision and accuracy in the tasks listed above will demand an attention to detail, calmness under pressure, a desire to help colleagues and the skill to anticipate pitfalls.
The ability to work alone comfortably will also benefit our small team.
Full training will be given in all aspects under the guidance of the Managing Director and Production leader.
Good grades in Maths and English point to the correct base ability required.
REMUNERATION
Beginning at £25,000 p.a. (plus workplace pension) for a person with no industry experience.
Up to £32,000 p.a. (plus workplace pension) depending on experience; or achievable within 12 months for a person new to the industry, as experience and skills can be demonstrated.
Holidays: 20 days plus statutory bank holidays.
Job is based in our factory in Coventry – and when trained to a high enough level, will require a 12pm to 7.30pm shift for up to 2 weeks in any month or as work allows.
