Around Noon Print Ltd is looking for highly motivated person to take up the role of a labelling operative as part of a small team in a busy printing factory. We offer a consistent work schedule and opportunity of progressing to a variety of other positions. The ideal candidate will present good attention to detail and high level of manual accuracy and precision. Ability to work as part of a team and good personal hygiene are essential. Previous experience in printing industry and knowledge of food safety procedures are preferable, but not required as full training will be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Applying labels on to packaging.
· Running Applicating machines.
· Filling in daily paperwork.
· Identifying quality issues on labels and packaging.
· Performing cleaning duties on site.
Our Production Operatives need to:
· Reporting into the Shift Group Leader at the start of each shift for work allocation
· Have great attention to detail and the ability to work within timescales.
· Handle stock both physically and with Manual Handling Equipment (MHE)
· Be able to understand and follow instructions from your Shift Leader.
· Have a high regard for both their personal and team health and safety, reporting hazards and near misses, and taking reasonable steps to ensure safety where needed.
· Be able to use their initiative and undertake their responsibilities often without direct supervision to complete their designated work allocation.
Working Shifts
The working hours will be 6am to 6pm 4 days out of 7. Flexibility to work Sunday will be required, and a degree of flexibility around days and finish times.
Contract is initially for six months, may be subject to extension in line with business needs or even made permanent.
Rate of pay starts at £9.50ph and after 4 weeks of training will go up to £10.40ph
