About the role
We are leading the transformation of Crawley borough, working in close partnership with stakeholders to deliver a £125 million programme of transformative projects which will help the town embrace its full potential and boost job creation, business growth and economic recovery.
One of our flagship regeneration schemes is the ‘Enhanced Station Gateway’ - a £12.7 million scheme bringing together funding from the Crawley Growth Programme, Towns Fund and Bus Service Improvement Plan. This will deliver an enhanced 21st century bus station and associated public realm and highway improvements at an important gateway to Crawley town centre.
The project will transform the public space and improve the inter-modal transport interchange between Crawley railway station, bus station and walking and cycling infrastructure to provide a seamless connection to the wider town centre.
To help us achieve our ambition, we are looking for an exceptional individual with a proven track record for partnership working in regeneration scheme delivery. You will bring passion and enthusiasm to deliver the enhanced station gateway scheme while demonstrating our values and behaviours and continually striving for excellence.
You will have:
- the knowledge and experience to successfully deliver our regeneration schemes
- excellent understanding of regeneration programme delivery and policy, particularly within a public transport context
- significant experience of designing and delivering sustainable transport infrastructure schemes with a strong working knowledge of planning and public procurement procedures
- considerable experience of working in partnerships in regeneration delivery, building effective relationships at all levels with stakeholders
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- a proven track record of project managing and delivering complex projects, using effective project management skills and tools
Crawley is an exciting place to work, with a vibrant town centre and excellent transport connections. We recently moved into our new Town Hall so it is a great time to join us as we settle into our state-of-the-art offices with excellently designed spaces that facilitate collaborative working. We have a hybrid working set up which allows a balance of working from home with at least two days in the office.
