Fixed Term Contract for 6 months | 37 hours per week | £39,248 to £43,517 per annum (Grade K) | Norwich

We’re looking for a Principal Communications Officer to join our award-winning communications team, working at the heart of Norfolk County Council.


We’re looking for someone creative, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a real skill for strategic communications. You will be working with our Children’s Services teams on programmes to help children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families. You will also be leading communications for our new Family Hubs and Start for Life projects, as well as supporting wider communications across Children’s Services. It’s vital that you’re a self-starter with an ability to manage competing pressures.

We’re looking for a communications all-rounder, with excellent experience in proactive and reactive media and reputational work, as well as skill in developing and managing proactive promotional or behaviour change campaigns.

This post is initially for a six-month period but there is the possibility that it may be extended. Secondments will also be considered.
