Fixed Term Contract for 6 months | 37 hours per week | £39,248 to £43,517 per annum (Grade K) | Norwich


We’re looking for a Principal Communications Officer to join our award-winning communications team, working at the heart of Norfolk County Council.

We’re searching for someone creative, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a real skill for strategic communications. You will be working with our Adult Social Care and Public Health teams on projects that support people to live longer, healthier, happier lives, with a focus on supporting independence and resilience.

You will also be leading campaigns on key transformation projects, as well as supporting wider communications across the Adult Social Care and Public Health. It’s vital that you’re a self-starter with an ability to manage competing pressures.

We need a communications all-rounder, with excellent experience in proactive and reactive media and reputational work, as well as skill in developing and managing proactive promotional or behaviour change campaigns.

This post is initially for a six-month period but there is the possibility that it may be extended. Secondments will also be considered.
