We have a wonderful opportunity for a Principle Clinical Psychologist with experience in Neuropsychology to lead our fantastic Psychology team at Hunters Moor in Birmingham, which accommodates 42 patients requiring neurorehabilitation which may include complex physical rehabilitation needs. Individuals are usually admitted directly from an acute hospital setting or Level 1 rehab setting once they are medically stable.
Hunters Moor is a Level 2 rehabilitation setting accommodating 42 patients requiring neurorehabilitation which may include complex physical rehabilitation needs. Individuals are usually admitted directly from an acute hospital setting or Level 1 rehab setting once they are medically stable. At Hunters Moor, they are able to continue the rehabilitation they were unable to complete whilst in hospital. The site is part of the wider Active Care Group Neuro Network (consisting of 25+ sites) nationally and we focus on the use of clinical expertise, innovation and technology to meet patient’s expectations of rehabilitation goals and has embedded the use of REHACOM, an evidenced based innovation utilised for improving cognitive functioning. We have established referral pathways within a formal collaboration of health and care cross Birmingham and Solihull (BSOL).
Through our person-centred and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation, we aim to maximise independence and recovery whilst equipping people with the skills to return home or to a supported environment.
Individuals and their family work with the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) to set goals around their physical progress, functional abilities, future independence, leisure and work activities and communication.

Patients benefit from access to our on-site doctor and neuro-specialist team consisting of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Technicians, specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants.
Specialist Nurses are able to provide care to those with ongoing neurological nursing needs including respiratory and tracheostomy care, diabetes, epilepsy, wound management, stoma care, enteral feeding and management of long term intravenous access points.

You will part of a friendly and enthusiastic Multidisciplinary Team providing a specialist clinical Neuropsychology service and will carry out clinical psychological assessments using file-review, interview, psychometric and behavioural observation methods for clients presenting with serious Mental Health Problems, Intellectual Disability or Neuropsychological problems.
As part of our team you will be able to build amazing relationships with your patients and really be a part of their progress.
What you'll be working:
We can be flexible but you will work a total of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing:
Lead and manage an amazing Psychology Team
Responsible for co-ordinating referrals and allocation
Conduct and supervise highly specialist clinical psychological assessments using file-review, interview, psychometric and behavioural observation methods
Complete structured professional judgement risk assessments to consider patient risks and to inform risk management and treatment needs
Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
Work with members of the multidisciplinary team to contribute to effective risk assessment, risk management, treatment, support needs and quality of life of the unit’s patients
Provide informal and formal highly skilled psychological advice and consultation as required by the hospital
Be involved in the development, delivery and evaluation of training
Provide clinical governance data as required by hospital, service and psychology service protocols
What you'll have:
Hold a Psychology Doctorate
HCPC Registered
Experienced within a Neuropsychology setting
