BP is seeking an experienced and passionate Principal Enterprise Integration Architect to lead our organization's integration strategy and road map activities across various platforms,

The role of the Principal Enterprise Integration Architect is a role in the Digital Enterprise team, where we deliver digital platform products and define technology strategies for the enterprise to support our businesses.

You believe that delivering leading technology products, at scale and at pace, depends on deep understanding of application and integration design patterns, and fostering effective frameworks for managing technology across the organization. You are a strategic thinker, able to plan but with a bias for short-and-mid-term action. You will operate in a dynamic and delivery focused environment, with the resources of one of the world's most forward-thinking digital teams. You are confident and comfortable working across diverse cultures and people. Together with the product teams, you define the architectural principles for the enterprise API (Application Programming Interface), their reuse and their KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

You do not see API (Application Programming Interface) governance as an aim, but as a tool that gives implementation teams the greatest possible freedom through clean decoupling and enables the fastest possible time to value for requirements through modular services

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Team: You directly influence how different product teams design and build integration capabilities on our enterprise integration stack. You will not just lead, but you will "do".
• Architecture: You understand the concepts and solutions of hybrid integration platforms and are experienced with cloud native integration capabilities and can confidently apply patterns to solve integration challenges. You define and maintain Enterprise Integration Patterns, principles, and standards, and you effectively guide and support the integration teams in applying best practices to attain optimal solutions.
• Relationships: You will understand the needs of our business, product teams, the technology ecosystem, partners, and emerging market solutions. You will be the key link between the Integration Platform teams and Product teams and will build strong internal and external relationships that help you drive modernization, consistency, and standardization for bp.
• Technology: You have a passion for understanding and learning. You will bring good hands-on skills in architecting, designing, and building application and services on market leading Integration platforms. You will own the Technical Reference Model (TRM) for the Integration Domain, ensuring it is updated and maintained with industry best practices and emerging trends.
• Evangelist: You will be an evangelist for how Integrations are built in a modular way across the digital enterprise. You will play an integral part in creating and maintaining our integration principles, translating the business requirements into enterprise integration patterns and tracking compliance.
• Safety and Compliance: Safety of our people and our customers is our highest priority. We will advocate and help ensure our architectures, designs and processes enhance a culture of operational safety and improve our digital security.

FORMAL EDUCATION
A Bachelor's (or higher) degree, ideally in Computer Science, MIS/IT, Mathematics, hard science, or equivalent work experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 15+ years hands on experience in architecture, design, and deployment of industry leading customer centric products such as MuleSoft, Apache Camel, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Integration, SAP PO or Tibco and/or other industry leading integration products.
• Several years of professional experience in enterprise architecture/IT (Information Technology) strategy development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical team members.
• In-depth knowledge of the Technical Reference Model (TRM) for the Integration Domain and Enterprise Integration Patterns. Proven experience in developing Integration strategy using one or more Integration products.
• 5 or more projects leading integration implementations at an enterprise level with integration to other enterprise systems. You accomplish exceptional delivery outcomes in a respectful and supportive way.
• In-depth knowledge of interface technologies such as REST, gRPC and messaging technologies as well as practical experience in the programming languages such as Java, .NET, Java Script
• Participation in each phase of full API lifecycle implementations.
• Good understanding of the Cloud native Integration capabilities like native API Gateways on different cloud providers, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google cloud , Azure, SAP. As well as core messaging infrastructures for enterprise grade messaging and event streaming. Good understanding of Event Drive Architecture and experience in working with events, topics, queues etc.
• Experience in deploying and managing complex Integration Solutions on a hybrid environment and assisting team in adopting right deployment model.
• A clear grasp of software development and design thinking in an agile environment.
