Are you a Primary teacher who is looking for a Year 4 class teaching role in a 'Good' Primary School in the lovely area of North Birmingham?

A primary school in the North Birmingham area are seeking either an experienced or newly/ recently qualified teacher to start with them October 2019, with potential permanent role available from September 2020. The role is on a full-time basis, and would involve teaching a Year 4 class.

The school believes teachers need strong subject knowledge and, like pupils, need to be keen to learn new things. It believes good teaching and learning will only take place in a classroom where a culture of error has been created: an environment in which mistakes are celebrated and acknowledged as the way pupils learn.

The school aims to create and maintain an atmosphere where every person in their school community is valued and respected, regardless of race, gender and ability.

The core duties of this Year 4 Primary Teacher role are:
  • To carry out teaching duties to meet objectives specified in the school's schemes of work and National Curriculum
  • To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils as defined by school policy
  • To provide a high quality learning experience for pupils
  • To work as a member of a specified team and contribute positively to effective working relationships within the school
  • Provide or contribute to assessment reports to monitor student progress

It is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies, and have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum, with excellent subject knowledge in Numeracy and Literacy.
