We are looking to recruit a talented and committed primary teacher to work within our academy. The post is on a full time, fixed term basis for 1 year.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher with experience and a passion for teaching children with SEND. We would welcome applications from teachers who have worked with autistic pupils in a primary, secondary or special setting.
The successful applicant will have a firm but nurturing approach, a relentless focus on pupil progress and high expectations of pupil learning and behavior. They will also have a creative and innovative approach to engaging pupils and overcoming barriers to learning. Training in approaches to teaching the wide range of pupils on roll will be provided for the successful applicant e.g. physical intervention, autism.
Your application should demonstrate your experience, commitment, knowledge and passion for working with children with SEND and Autism, along with a willingness and enthusiasm to contribute further to the wider life and ethos of the school. The successful applicant must be committed to their own professional development and be willing to engage in training opportunities and will be required to teach the whole primary curriculum. Nethergate Academy is a special academy in the City of Nottingham for just over 160 pupils aged 5-19 with a range of moderate and complex learning difficulties, including a new provision for children with autism as their primary need.
