About the Role
We are looking for Qualified Teachers to join our wonderful team to teach a Key Stage 2 curriculum, 5 days a week within a commutable distance of Reading, Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough.
- To deliver a curriculum in line with Key stage 2 students.
- To manage, support and develop a group of marginalized young people and their families by building trusting relationships through the use of individual sessions, group work, family visits and other interventions.
- To provide practical support to the teacher/other learning support assistants/HLTA and pupils.
- To consistently promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
- To support pupils in their learning and development in small groups or with individual pupils as directed treating them with respect and consideration.
- To help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.
- To encourage the social and emotional development of pupils.
- To encourage pupils to participate in all aspects of school life.
- To help pupils to become more independent.
- To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- To embed safeguarding and inclusion principles at the heart of all practice.
About You
About You
- You will be qualified as a secondary teacher.
- Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum.
- Experience of working with children with SEND.
- Establish and maintain good professional relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.
- Set high expectations of all children and be committed to raising educational achievement.
- Planning and implementing provision for children with SEND including the monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of children’s progress.
- Effective teaching and learning styles and how to implement them.
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners who have emotional barriers which effect learning.

Eton Dorney is a therapeutic school that specialises in meeting the needs of neuro diverse young people with needs such as, developmental language delay, higher-functioning autism and language/communication difficulties which put their emotional and mental health at risk.
Established in 2018 we place an equal emphasis on the educational, social, and psychological development of our young people.
