Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated PE coach to deliver aspects of our successful Premier League Primary Stars programme, including the delivery of PE and extra-curricular clubs to Primary Schools in Croydon. You will join a team of dedicated coaches, making a real impact on the lives of children in South London.

Job Description

As Schools Coach you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, active and engaging PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs to children in a Croydon primary schools
  • Plan and deliver fun and engaging classroom based emotional well-being interventions with all primary school ages;
  • Form positive relationships with all key partners involved in the programme including schools, teachers and parents;
  • Organise school team sports fixtures throughout the year, including managing the schools girls and boys football teams
  • Work as a team with fellow coaches, PE Coordinators and other Foundation staff to ensure smooth delivery and growth of our programmes;
  • Support at a variety of events throughout the year including school tournaments and festivals, and holiday courses out of school term.

Person Specification

As successful candidate you will:

  • Have experience coaching in a Primary School environment, with a proven track record of achievement;
  • Possess a sport specific coaching qualification
  • Have sound sports development and/or school education knowledge;
  • Be able to emphasise with and give support to participants who may not feel comfortable in learning or sports related environments;
  • Be reliable, organised, flexible and willing to learn;
  • Be available to work at clubs after school hours, and ideally some holiday work.
