If you are looking to gain experience in a primary school, prior to starting a teacher training programme in the near future… this is the ideal role for you!
As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for the development of children’s learning, supporting the class teacher in managing class behaviour, listening to the children read and looking after children who are upset play. This experience will give you everything you need in order to apply for teacher training in the near future.
The school is based in the Ward of Yardley and is easily accessible from the Coventry Road. Due to its location, public transport running to and from Birmingham City Centre. The nearest train stations are Lea Hall and Acocks Green.
The Headteacher has been with the school for over 8 years and has witnessed a turnaround from it being a ‘Requires Improvement’ school to a ‘Good’ school. They employ various graduates across the year groups which means you will not be working alone. You will have the opportunity to bounce ideas off each other and you will get fantastic support from the class teachers.
