Montessori Academy of Slidell is looking for a loving and nurturing Primary assistant teacher that desires to tend to the needs of young children ages 3 years old to 5 years old. This person must be willing to become certified through CGMS while working at Montessori Academy of Slidell. This person must actively believe that the Montessori method is the best method for Early childhood education. This person must love working with children and be able to provide constant support and active supervision. This person must be willing to assist in lesson planning and material making. These are full time position requiring applicants to be available Monday through Friday. Please have reliable transportation. Summer program we have field trips so its a must ! :] Job Type: Full-time Job Pay: $11-$14 per hour depending on credentials. Potential increases in hourly wage every 6 to 12 months. Room to grow within company. Opportunities to further educate yourself in Montessori and obtain an AMI diploma. MAS assists with the costs associated with this diploma. Child and family studies degree or certification preferred. Paid time off.
