Job description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Care Commissioning Officer to join NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) Primary Care Commissioning Team. NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB is fully delegated, and oversees 131 GP contracts across the ICB.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high-quality service; to improve outcomes for patients through strong commissioning and robust performance management of primary care contracts.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure, be responsive to fast moving deadlines and maintain constructive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
These are varied and interesting roles and you will be working in a dynamic and highly experienced team, delivering an effective service across Nottinghamshire, ensuring high quality commissioning and contracting arrangements are in place.
The post holder will have responsibility for specific projects and also provide support to the Primary Care Commissioning Manager for Mid Nottinghamshire.
Base: Sir John Robinson House, Sir John Robinson Way, Arnold, Nottingham together with agile working policy. There may be a requirement to work at any establishment and remote working may also be required. There will be a requirement for the post holder to travel across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area.

The post holder will support the Primary Care Commissioning Manager, for Mid Nottinghamshire, in the commissioning of primary care (GP practices), developing services that improve the experience and outcomes for patients and carers whilst delivering national and local priorities for general practice.
The post holder will maintain and develop positive and productive relationships with GP practices and partner organisations.
We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for improvement to join our friendly and innovative primary care commissioning team.
The post holder will support the Primary Care Commissioning Manager, for Mid Nottinghamshire, supporting the contracting and commissioning of primary care services either across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire or within a defined locality to improve quality and performance and the development of a thriving primary care community.
