We are looking to recruit a Pricing & Distribution Analyst who will play a key part in fares strategy and implementation, as well as ensuring CrossCountry tickets and fares are displayed correctly through ticket issuing systems and are issued effectively.
With fares reform high on the agenda this is a great time to join and play a part in driving real change to fares for the benefit of customers.
The successful candidate will join our Business Analysis team, which is responsible for revenue forecasting & analysis, pricing, retail and distribution.

Principle Responsibilities: (These are not exhaustive)
- Assist with fares implementation and ensure compliance with fares regulation.
- Undertake periodic reviews of our fares structure to inform future fares strategy, identifying anomalies and providing solutions.
- Support our retailing vision by championing low-cost methods of fulfilment.
- Undertake regular fares & revenue analysis, with a focus on our competitors.
- Bring actionable insight into the business that will impact on our decision making in terms of fares, distribution, fulfilment options, restrictions, and policies.
- Ensure completion of processes relating to creation of products, maintenance of information in fares and retail manuals are followed diligently and on time.
- Ensure adherence to processes in place to deal with queries regarding validity of ticket, fares & terms and conditions.
- Interaction with other AUKT businesses, and key external stakeholders such as RDG to ensure CrossCountry’s interest are represented at industry level.
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
The Essentials:
- Ability to work within a team as well as on your own.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dynamic and positive individual with the enthusiasm for getting to grips with complex issues.
- Highly numerate with a strong analytical background and experience with MS Excel/Access
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of the CrossCountry business and/or commercial rail experience
- Confident user of new systems and quick to learn complex techniques.
- Keen to express and follow up on ideas with a drive to achieve results.
- Good understanding of analytical and statistical techniques
