What will you be doing?


Developing, supporting and continuously improving secure, performant and reusable platform-layer components, that our Product team developers can efficiently self-serve, using automated, industry-standard and best practice cloud-based tools and techniques, within a Microsoft environment.

  • Under the guidance of the Head of Platforms
    • Develop, support and continuously improve reusable platform-layer components that support and enable developers throughout the firm’s product teams
    • Implement and support automated CICD pipelines to enable developers to test and promote code into production with appropriate controls and maximum velocity
    • Reduce or eliminate manual or repetitive tasks, improving end-to-end platform health and performance and general developer productivity
    • Engage and collaborate with product teams as needed, to support and enable product development across the firm
    • Work within product teams as needed, supporting their specific needs and taking direction from product leads
    • Approach all work mindful of maintaining a common, consistent, and flexible platform that continuously delivers the tools, interfaces and components required to drive product development
    • Implement policies to manage platform components securely, in conjunction with the infrastructure team
  • Maintain and develop awareness of
    • Product team strategies and roadmaps, to anticipate their needs and proactively support them
    • LCP’s overall solutions architecture, ensuring that Platform components continue to promote automation, reuse, and consistency across the technology estate
    • Modern DevOps practices, tools, techniques and industry practices
  • Coordinate with third party vendors
    • Where required to ensure the ongoing health and availability of platform components or outsourced functions
    • As needed in respect of periodic penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, facilitating the resolution of findings as appropriate under the guidance of the Head of Platforms
  • Own incidents and problems impacting platform components and code
    • Until a new owner is required, or the issue has been mitigated or resolved
    • Conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying issues
    • Collaborating as needed, within and beyond the team

What skills and experience are were looking for?


  • Strong experience within a DevOps organisation – delivering DevOps tool chains and automation are essential
  • Strong and demonstrable experience and technical engineering knowledge of
    • Platform and web-based/cloud products (Microsoft Azure hosted services and Azure DevOps are essential), emerging standards and trends
    • Developing a CICD pipeline and related technologies
    • Software development and release engineering skills - able to clearly articulate related concepts
  • Proven experience of
    • API platform development
    • Integrating/interacting with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem
  • Deep knowledge and first-hand experience with
    • Modern development tool chains, bug tracking systems, continuous integration and version control systems
    • Software and systems – able to dive into details with engineers and distil salient information into key points for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, while balancing business priorities and quality
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically, both in writing and orally
  • Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach
