We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our Data Science team here at Domestic & General. Reporting into the Data Science Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the company’s data science strategy across a high-volume product portfolio. They will work as part of a Data Science team to deliver in depth analysis on the pricing strategy as well as finding new areas of opportunity using data.

Key role responsibilities:
- Deliver key reporting for pricing to ensure that business objectives are being delivered.
- Forecasting outputs of optimization strategies and identifying key areas of improvement.
- Capable of analysing, communicate and explain pricing recommendations in a clear way that will influence key stakeholders from across the business.
- Be able to implement suggested pricing changes once approved by the organisation.
- Ensure that pricing recommendations result in customers being treated fairly.
- Identifying and understanding pricing trends and communicating this information to the wider team.
- Evolve and continuously improve pricing reporting, analysis and insight.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous analytics experience
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using python and dashboard reporting tools
- Understanding and ability to actively implement statistical tests and analyses, coding, and automation techniques for efficient analysis.
- Identifying and understanding pricing trends and communicating this information to the wider team.
- Evolve and continuously improve pricing reporting, analysis and insight.
- Able to deliver against tight and changing deadlines and priorities.
- Effective collaborator.
- Takes accountability and ownership.
Desirable but not essential:
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Able to explain complex pricing data to non-technical colleagues clearly.
- Excellent at data wrangling and relationship management.
- Innovative and pragmatic problem solver.
- Experienced at using price optimisation software such as Earnix.
- Insurance or financial service pricing experience or similar product lines, across various distribution channels.
- Understanding of machine learning and data science.
- Strong understanding of pricing models, optimisation and price elasticity.
- Working in a fast-paced, agile environment
