Role Responsibility

As part of the team responsible for Selfridges PR, you will make sure that our products and services are always well-represented in the right publications, digital platforms and influencer relationships.

Based in the London office, as a PR Coordinator, you’ll help to ensure our Press Office runs smoothly. This is a dynamic role that involves everything from answering general press queries, supporting Selfridges lead media opportunities, and managing sample send-outs to drafting press releases and placing coverage.

You’ll facilitate supporting in nurturing press and influencer relationships daily - all with the overall aim of gaining maximum coverage in press and on social media, sharing our unique Selfridges stories. Alongside this, you will be on hand to support and contribute at press events, and you’ll be able to build strong relationships with teams across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a close-knit team who are incredibly passionate about driving positive PR results for Selfridges, demonstrating our vision and purpose externally.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience in PR and enjoy working in a busy and often hectic environment. You’ll be extremely organised with great time management skills and you’ll have a fantastic way with people. Above all, however ,you’ll have a keen interest in Fashion for both menswear, womenswear an beauty and have an genuine interest in the UK fashion and beauty Influencer landscape having a good grasp of social media and how the world of influencers works.


Alongside this, you will:

  • Support press team with product sample call-ins and images requests for Fashion and Beauty
  • Look for opportunities to drive product placement coverage for Fashion and Beauty
  • Look for opportunities to engage with influencers with key Selfridges lead moments
  • Work alongside the team to place coverage across press and social fashion and beauty
  • Monitor Selfridges Fashion & Beauty and Influencer coverage
  • Manage and monitor opportunities across press and social and support with the press teams database management.
  • Support team on influencer activity across categories, identifying relevant talent, actively seeking opportunities and staying ahead of industry trends
  • Provide support to the press team on events including seasonal press days, brand activations and launches
  • Support the wider PR team with reporting, invoicing, press site and admin tasks

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Solid work experience in PR and can demonstrate previous work with influencers
  • Ambitious, hardworking and an impeccable work ethic
  • Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to multitask and take direction from all team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and interest in sustainability
