Job description
The Psychological Health Services team provides psychological support for patients undergoing treatment within a range of departments across University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The service works with both in- and outpatients and contributes to service development and research projects.
Psychological Health Services are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious and professional Assistant Psychologists to join the team.
The positions will involve a mixture of direct work with patients and non-patient facing tasks. Duties will include the administration and scoring of standardised psychometric assessments, the collection and inputting of clinical outcome data, dissemination of psychosocial information, maintaining databases, analysing data and contributing to research.
We are advertising for band 4 and 5 positions depending on experience. Applicants who meet the essential criteria for the post but may not yet have clinical experience as an assistant psychologist are encouraged to apply.
These posts are initially fixed term until the end of March 2024, however, there is scope for them to be extended beyond this. We will consider requests for part-time or flexible working.

The post holders are expected to be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society at Graduate Basis for Registration having achieved either a 2:1 honours degree, or higher, in psychology or having completed a British Psychological Society accredited psychology conversion course.
