Requirements:

• Completed 12 core ECE Units OR BA Degree in Child Development
• Must be willing to change pull-ups and help potty train based on child’s readiness.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
• Openness to work 8-5pm, 8:30-5:30pm, or 9-6pm depending on need.

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• 12 ECE Units (Required)

• Partner with co-teachers and parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, and community contacts
• Implement Learn and Play Montessori Schools curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child

Pay Rates: Entering pay rates based on number of units, years of experience, classroom placement (Toddler teachers are well paid), Montessori experience and training, lead/head teacher experience.
