Job description
About TPP Retail Group
We are a fast growing group made up of two brands - TPP Retail & Pen Mobile. We supply companies with mobile technology to allow them to be more efficient in their shop floor, warehousing, and other areas. We work with lots of international brands and are proud of our capability & quality.
About the Role
You will work within our Sales team to help design, specify and build technical solutions for our customers. Sometimes this will involve our own market leading software solutions, Retail IQ and Marka. Other times, it will involve software or hardware from our partners.
You'll develop a deep understanding of our software products, and in particular how we configure them uniquely for each customer with their own data, custom features, and printable label layouts. You'll gain experience designing Android based enterprise deployments which are reliable, scalable and secure.
You'll work with customers to take data from their existing systems and bring it into our platform, building specifications and data maps for our development team to build from. You'll be comfortable analysing a CSV file, testing a REST API using Postman and learning about barcode technologies.
You'll become an expert in some of the third party hardware and software that we sell, around areas like mobile computers, barcode scanners, thermal printers, RFID, electronic shelf edge, hardware device management, digital signage and more. You'll attend learning events to help us build our skills and strengthen our ability to react quickly to customer needs. You'll help us stay ahead of the curve with innovation, work out how to integrate these types of technology into our existing ecosystem and support the rest of our business in learning how to use these new technologies.
You'll act as a key technical link between our Sales and Projects teams, providing expertise & ownership of the technical components of the project, to support our desire to deliver quickly, always be innovating, and maintain our high quality across a broad portfolio.
We don't expect you to have the right knowledge on day 1. Passion for problem solving, commitment to hard working (while having fun too!) and proven technical ability in any related space are the key things we are looking for. The rest we can teach.
We want to be flexible and are happy with a lot of the work taking place from your home. However, especially as we are working with a lot of hardware devices like enterprise mobile computers, printers etc, we need you to be in the office at least a couple of days a week, with the flexibility to adapt this as needed for different projects.
