Description
In line with Lockton’s strategy and continued growth, we are looking to recruit an IT Telecoms Apprentice to join our dynamic and expanding team.
Purpose of role:
As an IT Telecoms Apprentice your primary focus will be providing support for corporate mobile and telephony services, setting up and managing accounts, ordering software and hardware. This includes the responsibility of all procedures related to the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of all mobile device requests and orders.
This role will give you a great opportunity to develop both your technical and customer facing skills within a professional, corporate environment. We’re looking for someone with the ability to take a strong ‘client’ focused approach when dealing with stakeholders within our business and also with third party contractors and vendors. You’ll be a valuable part of our fast-paced in-house support team, providing technical support across the business.
Role responsibilities:
- Ordering, tracking and deployment of mobile devices
- Provision of access, amendments, and removal of telephony accounts
- Complete service desk workload in accordance with Technology SLA’S and procedures, escalating any outside your skill set
- Assist in day-to-day IT telephony tasks
- Ensure daily tasks carried out effectively and responsibly, to agreed service levels, escalating any failures
- Provide cover for other team members and ad hoc duties when requested by Management
- Deliver a continuous high level of customer service- 'We Live Service'

- Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
- Analytical and problem-solving ability, including research, investigation and product evaluation
- Work in support of other team colleagues
- Show a flexible approach to change
- Flexible working hours when required. Rota system in place covering period of 8am-6pm
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11, iOS/Android, Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Customer service skills (but this is desirable, not essential)
Start date: September 2023 or sooner (permanent position)
