A Bit About The Role:The Pre-Sales Consultant provides expert technical knowledge of our Playout and Networking product portfolio to our Sales teams and prospective customers during the sales process.
This role is accountable for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, including drawing up of detailed designs and equipment lists in collaboration with a number of cross functional teams, requiring regular co-ordination and information exchange with other internal stakeholders.
You are an enthusiastic and knowledgeable portfolio evangelist, reporting to the Sales Director. You are responsible for deeply understanding the market and making our playout and networking products highly visible as part of a truly compelling proposition for the customer base. Key Responsibilities
- Providing presales technical assistance to Regional Sales Managers who have ultimate responsibility for commercial negotiations
- Interfacing to Product Management to provide feedback on product design, performance, applications and trends
- Provide responses for customer “Request for Proposals” especially in respect of technical compliancy and functional capabilities
- Present and demonstrate Imagines range of playout related products
- Interpret customer requests into system designs using Imagine products
- Produce bills of materials ready for quotations
- Manage technical proof of concepts exercises
- Be familiar with Broadcast Market trends, competition, terminology
- Be familiar with technical terminology used in Broadcast facilities
- Be familiar with Broadcast technology and system designs including both SDI and IP architectures
- Be familiar with Broadcast workflows
- Have a deep knowledge of linear playout networking technology spanning automation control, network processing, video servers, graphics etc
- Be responsible for maintaining and configuring demonstration equipment
About You:
- Ability to understand Media and Entertainment customers’ business challenges and needs
- Able to multitask, work to deadlines and drive internal resources to gather relevant information
- Ability to construct complex proposals in collaboration with the Product Management team and Sales with a commercial focus
- Ability to facilitate white board, brainstorming, and other customer discussions
- Ability to present a proposal to both technical, operational and technical C-level customer audiences
- You are a good listener of customer needs and at the same time, handle objections and influence the outcome to create a solution that ensures success for both the customer and the business
- Conversational French / English would give you an advantage over other candidates
