Customer Relationship Manager – West Midlands (NHS PiP) – 12 month fixed term contract

A new role at NHS Procurement in Partnership (NHS PiP)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for aCustomer Relationship Manager (West Midlands)to join the expanding NHS PiP team, initially on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis anticipated to be from 1stApril 23-31stMarch 24.

NOE CPC (part of Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) are the lead organisation for this recruitment process and will host this new role on behalf of NHS PiP, however the focus of the role will be to work jointly across the NHS PiP partnership and work collaboratively on behalf of all four partner organisations to develop and enhance customer relationships within the West Midlands NHS region.

About the Customer Relationship Manager (West Midlands) role

This new and dedicated NHS PiP Customer Relationship Manager role will focus on West Midlands region and prioritise building strong relationships with NHS procurement teams – and other stakeholders - in the

area.In this new role you will be responsible for developing and driving our approach in this area. The role will include extensive engagement with other NHS organisations and a wide range of stakeholders, within West Midlands region.

You will work closely with NHS PiP Senior Management, NHS PiP Transformation Board and our existing Account Management/CRM teams to enhance our collective engagement with other NHS organisations in the West Midlands region.

We are looking to develop a genuine NHS PiP best practice way of working, working in the best interests of NHS PiP as a whole.This initiative looks to build on the proven success of the 4 regional based hubs by piloting an in-region customer engagement approach, which draws on our existing successful regional engagement models and which aims to apply our collective experience to West Midlands. The appointed individual would be closely supported by existing NHS PiP resources in order to develop a considered and tailored approach for that region

The successful candidate will need to travel regularly to and within the West Midlands area.Therefore being basedin the region, and/or being familiar with the area may be advantageous.

Responsibilities will include;
  • Meeting and building relationships with local NHS contacts
  • Work with NHS PiP specialists (category teams and others) to develop and deliver tailored approach to West Midlands region.
  • Build relationships with established in-region professional networks
  • Attend and develop in-region events
  • Liaising with other NHS PiP hub customer relationship teams to identify best practice and where appropriate apply, adopt, and adapt those techniques in West Midlands.
  • Work with West Midlands based customers, to develop service which meets the needs of NHS organisations in that region.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual wanting to make a positive difference in the NHS. The successful candidate(s) should be able to demonstrate strong personal skills, extensive experience and enthusiasm for Customer Engagement, with a strong track record of building mutually beneficial customer relationships. They will also be a good communicator, have a strong people focused approach, and broad commercial acumen.
