Seize this opportunity with Hitachi Energy as a Pre -Sales Consultant within the Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) solutions team. As a subject matter expert of our consulting organization, you’ll be working with our Sales & Marketing team to influence software and service sales across our regional hub covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With in-depth research and knowledge of regional energy markets, combined with consultative business development techniques, you will be a credible, trusted Consultant to Customers representing our award-winning service. You’ll be supported by our team of energy market advisory consultants and project managers and equipped with ongoing training to build on your proven expertise in the power utility/energy sector and become proficient with Hitachi Energy’s solutions.
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will have the opportunity to use your energy and utility market expertise. With exceptional client relationship skills, you’ll probe and understand your customer’s pain points to help you present compelling, tangible solutions which meet their goals through demonstrations of our solutions.
Your responsibilities
- You’ll support the organization in converting the sales pipeline to revenues
- Effectively articulate and present technical information in both pre-and post-sales capacities across a variety of audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
- Contribute to sales and marketing activities, including representing EPM at industry events and trade shows
- Work in collaboration with the broader sales team to create high-calibre, value-focused client presentations and coordinate software demos
- Assist in developing account and territory marketing and sales plans as part of the overall strategy
- Provide feedback and recommendations on market demands in EMEA for shaping product roadmap strategies
- Update and maintain customer data and other sales data as required in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Your background
- A master’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational Research, Technology, Management or related disciplines.
- At least 3 years of experience in the energy & utilities sector
- A solution-focused entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong team player with a flexible approach and willing to support in other areas to achieve an end goal
- A proven track record (or demonstrated ability) of client engagement in the software or consulting sector, leading to successful pipeline and business growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations (English language proficiency required)
- Working knowledge of other European languages is an asset.
