About the Role
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is looking to appoint an experienced practice operations manager on a full time basis, of 37.5 hours per week.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities.
- A commitment to support the delivery of excellent patient care with vision, willingness and drive.
- Ability to manage change through motivation and leadership.
- Excellent leadership and people skills.
- Meet NHS targets and adapt to change within a profitable, effective and efficient working environment.
- Motivate staff and be able to delegate where appropriate.

About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant operations experience, preferably in a primary care setting;
- Experience of managing teams and performance management;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Knowledge and experience of IT;
- Self-motivated, with a forward-thinking, solution-focused approach;
- The ability to develop, implement and embed policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Experience of working in an ever-evolving environment, with an ability to cope with regular change;
- Excellent organisational, management and planning skills, IT skills and communication skills;
- Ability to implement and manage change effectively;
- Ability to identify training and development needs in self and other as well as experience of appraising staff;
- Empathetic manner and approach when dealing with patients;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - with ability to manage confidential information appropriately;
- Knowledge of quality systems and key performance indicators.
