Corporation Road Surgery is currently under new management and we are seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse to join our vibrant, patient focused and innovative practice. The surgery is located just outside the city centre and close to Cardiff Bay, easily accessible with public transport and allocated parking. The practice consists of 4,000 patients with a supportive clinical team of 2 GP’s 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioner’s, a Health Care Assistant and an exceptional administration team.
Job Description
To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care to the practice population with focus in the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with long-term conditions and acute problems. This includes screening, assessment , treatment and education and taking an active role in supporting the practice to maximise achievement against local and national targets in respect of the GMS contract and Enhanced Services.
Experience
Registered Nurse with up to date NMC Registration and must have worked in a Primary Care setting with knowledge of current policies, protocols and national targets. Clinical skill must include:
· Chronic Disease Management
· Smear taker
· Women’s Health
· Wound Management
· Health Promotion
· Men’s Health
· Cardiovascular Disease Management
· Travel Health
Desirable
Minor Illness
Knowledge of Vision computer software
Hours/Salary
Permanent position – 20 - 30 hour per week - £19 p/h (can be negotiated on experience)
