Practice Education Facilitator-Operating Department and Theatre Focus
Band 7 Substantive Post
37.5 hours per week.
We are seeking 1 full time Practice Education Facilitator to join our Trust wide team to support the provision of high-quality learning environments for our Operating Department and Theatre services within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced healthcare professional with a keen interest in education to join the Professional Development & Education Team as a Practice Education Facilitator. Supporting learning environments to provide an excellent learning experience for all healthcare learners on placements within Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be an integral part of your role. You will support learners in practice from a wide variety of healthcare professions, ensuring that all learners receive an outstanding learning experience, which meets quality assurance standards and measurable regulatory body requirements. You will work with clinical staff at all levels, enabling them to provide support and guidance to learners. Key aspects of the role will be to develop the opportunities for interprofessional learning for students. Interested candidates should have highly effective interpersonal skills including; the ability to work with a diverse team of professionals, able to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels and use own initiative. You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to meet tight deadlines. Experience of supporting and assessing healthcare learners is essential. Candidates will have a professional qualification and valid registration appropriate to his/her speciality, alongside a degree.
