Job description
The post holder will take a role on a number of specific work streams relating to the portfolio and will work collaboratively with divisions in order to implement work programmes that are aligned with national and health board wide objectives.
The post will affect its purpose through application of the key principles of professional, education and practice development, by focusing on the improvement of patient care and safety through adoption of a range of approaches working largely within and supporting staff within the education and practice setting. This may involve incorporating other multi professional areas as defined by the Health Board.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Nurse Education Team within BCUHB. We currently have 1x Band 6 Practice Education Facilitator posts for West Integrated Health Community.
The post holders will work strategically with Health Board Education leads and partner education providers to support student nurse and student midwife education in practice. Post holders will initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with key student placement staff, liaising with key university personnel and other stakeholders to enable innovative and valuable student learning opportunities.
The post holders would be responsible for providing an active and significant contribution to the implementation of these New Future Nurse Standards of proficiency for registered nurses in practice pan BCUHB, providing expert advice and support for areas focusing on Practice Assessor/Supervisor and the learning environment.
