We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Social Media Apprentice at Think Mad, a fast-paced media agency in Widnes, Liverpool, and London with a proven track record of delivering high-impact campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing our company's social media presence, including creating and curating engaging content for platforms such as Locally.news Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and Linked in
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing plan
- Create and schedule engaging social media content and research the latest social trends
- Monitor and track the performance of our social media channels, including analysing metrics and creating reports
- Engage with our community of followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in the creation of social media ads and campaigns
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices
- Write copy for the website, blogs, pitches, and press releases
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our in-house teams and gain hands-on experience in the media industry. This is a unique opportunity for a student or graduate studying Marketing, English Language, or Journalism to develop their skills and grow their career in social media and marketing.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent copywriting knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with third-party vendors and service providers
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- A passion for social media and staying up to date with the latest trends
- A willingness to learn and grow in the role
This is a fixed intern position, with travel expenses and breakfast/lunch paid for weekly. You would be expected to work in the office one to two days per week. Depending on the task, there may be scope for additional work outside of this.
We would love for this role to develop into a full-time position once the correct candidate is ready and in line with the business needs.
