As a PR Manager, the individual will spearhead the creation and implementation of public relations strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness. This includes crafting and disseminating content such as press releases and speeches, networking with industry influencers, and coordinating public events for brand promotion. They'll also foster collaboration among internal teams, manage media relations, and maintain open lines of communication with senior leadership.

Their role also involves managing sensitive issues and potential negative publicity with tact, offering strategic advice to company leadership, and training staff on appropriate media interaction. The PR Manager will be responsible for tracking and presenting the outcomes of PR efforts, organizing PR events, acting as a company spokesperson when required, and establishing connections with industry professionals. Lastly, they'll be accountable for the PR budget management and performing return on investment analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic PR programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, speeches, and statements, which promotes the company's brand, activities, or products.
  • Engage with relevant influencers and key opinion leaders in the industry to promote the brand.
  • Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for clients to increase product or service awareness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management.
  • Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.
  • Prepare detailed media activity reports.
  • Handle sensitive issues, crisis and negative publicity tactfully.
  • Provide strategic advice to the company's leadership based on the latest trends, public opinions, and public policy developments.
  • Train internal staff to interact appropriately with the media, public, and other external contacts.
  • Measure and present results of PR efforts to company's management.
  • Organize PR events (e.g. open days, press conferences) and serve as the company's spokesperson when necessary.
  • Network with industry professionals and influential media.
  • Manage PR budget and ROI analysis.
  • Ownership of relevant processes and systems.

Salary range: £60-70k per annum

Job Type: Full-time
