Here's what you'll be doing

Right now, we're looking for a PR & Content Editor to join our Brand & Marketing Communications team. Here you'll deliver engaging PR and content marketing to drive forward our UK brand and purpose, positioning E.ON positively in the eyes of customers, media and key stakeholders. You will be tasked with creating relevant campaign information for a range of externally focused channels and audiences, for example, UK media and social media channels.

- Work with the PR and Content Team to support the creation and implementation of a calendar of proactive content, from ideation to publication, amplification and analysis. Content must support wider brand, commercial and organisational objectives and align with wider Brand and Marketing activities.
- Work independently/with team/with relevant agencies to produce high quality, engaging content through a variety of formats (including copy, photography, video, infographics, reports etc.), always seeking to learn from best practice both internally and externally and maximise SEO benefits.
- Monitor and report on content performance, sharing and acting upon key learnings as appropriate.
- Build close connections to relevant internal project owners to ensure knowledge of key activities and provide support for their objectives via relevant content.
- Work with relevant areas of the wider business to uncover proof points that help deliver effective brand communications that support E.ON’s social value/contribution.
- Work in an integrated fashion with other members of Brand and Marketing to ensure consistency of activities and messaging and maximise distribution opportunities.
- Support with PR issues management and customer issues received via the media, acting as a key point of contact for national and regional media as appropriate, dealing with queries, briefing spokespeople, and answering reactive media queries in a timely manner.
- Act as a 'customer lens' and highlight any activities/issues that may enhance or damage E.ON's corporate reputation.
- Become part of the on-call out-of-hours rota, responding to media queries as required.
What we need from you
- Strong team player.
- A proactive and creative approach to content creation, problem solving and reporting.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with good attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information in an engaging way.
- Marketing content/communications experience including creative content delivery and analysis.
- Well organised with strong planning and project management experience.
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines and accommodate the needs of many different diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to assess risk and make appropriate judgements as a result.
- Media awareness.
- Self confidence in challenging circumstances.
- Budget management experience.
