We are offering multiple opportunities for experienced Craftspersons from across the Utility Industry to become fully qualified Cable Jointers, Overhead Linespersons, and Electrical Fitters.
Starting salary: £27,265 (+2023 pay award pending) and with expected earnings of £50k+ on successful completion.
We're looking to attract high calibre experienced individuals from across the Utility sector to be trained to become fully qualified Power Network Craftsperson. We will put you through an accelerated training scheme to enhance your existing skills and equip you to help us develop our power network, delivering a low carbon active network for future generations.
This is a fully funded 15-month programme, managed by our Training School, recently rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. You will be required to gain both the academic qualifications and on-and-off the job learning to successfully pass the requirements to become a Power Network Craftsperson, including the attainment of Level 2 Maths and English if not already held.

If you're successful, you’ll join our teams of fully qualified craftspersons in one of the following roles:
•Overhead Lineperson – construct and maintain overhead electricity lines
•Underground Cable Jointer – repair, install and connect underground electricity cables
•Electrical Fitter - install and maintain electrical plant and equipment.
Successful candidates will also benefit from continual training in new and emerging skills and may be eligible for additional educational sponsorship, if desired, to help further career development.
Following successful completion of training candidates will be required to work out of hours through standby arrangements or alternatively may be required to work shifts.
