Job description
An applied Engineer or Physicist is being recruited to join this specialised power electronics team. They work on central R&D projects within the company to develop next-generation experimental drivers for pulsed power technologies. This includes simulations of electromagnetics and experimental design and associated diagnostics.
Requirements:
- Background: Degree in physics or electronics (ideally holds a relevant Master’s or PhD).
- Technical experience: CAD design tools (SolidWorks) and simulation software (COMSOL).
- Project experience: Can demonstrate mathematical aptitude with simulations in electrical engineering for pulsed power systems.
- Technical interests: Well-read about transformational technologies in new energy systems.
Interested candidates must have full rights to work in the UK indefinitely. Further, as a multidisciplinary company, it is expected that you should be able to work to tight project deadlines, communicate well with all types of audiences and enjoy solving complex engineering problems within a scientific environment.
